Houghton County
The Houghton One Stop Center provides a complete array of employment and training services to the residents of the Copper Country area. Computers are available for use by job seekers to work on their resumes or to search for jobs through various internet resources. Free career resource materials are available as well as a display of job application forms from over 50 Copper Country employers. The One Stop Center has two rooms that can be used for group meetings. The MI Works! G.E.D. Instructor provides instruction on a regular basis at this One Stop Center. The Veterans Employment Representative is located in this facility to provide specific employment services to Veterans. Gogebic Community College has its off-campus office located here. Michigan Rehab Services uses this One Stop Center on a regular basis. Other Veterans organizations such as the VFW Field Service Officer and American Legion officials provide services to participants on an as-needed basis. |
